Sayulita & San Pancho Walking Adventure Tour

We will meet in Puerto Vallarta and bus to San Pancho. The first half of the bus ride we get the opportunity to view the communities of Nuevo Nayarit, Mezcales, Bucarias, and Vidanta all from the partially elevated highway system. Our adventure leader will provide commentary about what we see and experience.  

 

The second half we will enter the mountains and traverse the winding roads through the jungle till we reach San Pancho.  In San Pancho we will soak up its relaxed and laid back surfer vibes as we tour the quiet main shopping and restaurant street.  Then we will hike the beach and swim along the way as we walk along the beaches and trails making our way to Sayulita Beach. (Optional taxi ride bypass available as this beach walk makes the trip rating "Difficult.")

 

In Sayulita we will tour the beaches and explore the hidden beach of Los Muertos - this beach is passed on by most as it requires a steep climb over a small rock hill.  After ample time to swim and explore the hidden beach we will make our way back into downtown Sayulita to tour it's more tourist Surfer vibes.  Around 4 - 5  PM we will catch the bus back to Puerto Vallarta.

ESSENTIALS

• Walking Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult (main walk of 2-3 miles along the very hot and shadeless beach and trails - this can be bypassed by utilizing a taxi approx 200 pesos)

• Meet at 8:00AM in PV.  (Exact location and directions will be in your email confirmation after reserving.)​

• Bus cost not included - approx 50 pesos each way.  Bring change.  The adventure leader will teach you how to recognize the destination and route of the public buses and how to pay so that you are comfortable taking the buses on your own in the future. 

• Wear comfortable walking shoes and have water or other hydration. 

• Bring or wear a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and Insect repellent.   

• Bring a rain umbrella (rainy season June to October) and recommended for hot sunny days for personal shade.  We do not cancel when it rains we celebrate - It is approximately  5 degrees  cooler during a rainstorm.  We may consider a cancellation in the event of a hurricane. 

• Lunch (not included) usually around 1 PM

• Bring Pesos for shopping - most of the smaller merchants do not take cards.  

• Price is $49.50USD  per person with prepaid reservation or $55  payable to the trip leader (2 people minimum) Teens $39.50 and children 29.50.  

• Optional private transportation option starting at $459 USD for SUV up to 6 people.  Mini bus also available. Please email us for quote and date availability

• Price does not include customary tip for the adventure leader.  (we recommend 20% minimum.)
